Faculty-Created Manual Submission Process

You have some options…

If you would like to make use of an Existing Manual (one that has been used in the past) and have it sold to the students via the Bookstore, send the Bookstore your textbook adoption form. If the content is original to you, the Bookstore will have you sign a ‘Memorandum of Understanding Re: Copyright’. Manuals can be sold for a profit and/or with a royalty affixed to the sale price if the content in the manual is original to you or it is property of the College and does not contain any external content. To have a royalty affixed to the cost of the manual, please complete a ‘Royalty Form’ at the Bookstore. The Bookstore will contact the Copyright Services Office and we will retrieve the existing manual from Reprographics for screening and clearing. Once screened and cleared, the Copyright Services Office will notify the Bookstore and they will order the necessary number of copies from Reprographics.

If you would like to make use of a New Manual and have it sold to the students via the Bookstore, send the Bookstore your textbook adoption form. Submit the new manual to the Copyright Management System for screening and clearing. Once screened and cleared, the Copyright Services Office will notify the Bookstore and they will order the necessary copies from Reprographics. The instructions for Faculty-Created Manual Submission through the Copyright Management System are available here.

If you would like to make use of a new or existing manual as a Digital Manual, you will not need to submit a textbook adoption form because the manual will be available to students via FOL not the Bookstore. Please contact the Copyright Services Office to make arrangements for a Digital Manual:
