Recalled Loans

A recall allows you to obtain items currently checked out to someone else. Any item on regular loan may be recalled by a patron in good standing.

If you would like to Recall an item that is currently checked out:

  • Place a Hold on the item you would like to Recall. If it is eligible it will automatically be Recalled.
  • You will be notified when the item is available for your use.

If you have checked out an item that is now being Recalled:

  • You are assured of at least five days of use of the requested item before it must be returned.
  • If you receive a Recall Notice, item(s) must be returned by the new due date, or you will be invoiced for the item(s) the following day.

If you have more questions or need help with Recalls, contact circdesk@fanshawec.ca.
