Catalogue Search Tips

General

  • Use the $ symbol to search for multiple endings to words
    • e.g. toxic$ will search for toxics, toxicant, toxicants, toxicity, etc.
  • Use the ? symbol if you are uncertain of a word’s spelling or want to find multiple spellings of a word
    • e.g. wom?n will search for woman, women

Home Use Films or Video Games

  • Limit your Library Catalogue search by selecting “Home Use Films/Video Games–Mezzanine” from the location drop-down menu

Campus Use Films

  • Limit your Library Catalogue search by selecting “Media Services Software” from the location drop-down menu

Periodicals

  • Use the Periodical Title search box to search for a particular magazine or academic journal
    • e.g. Rolling Stone
