Solar Eclipse Watch Party: April 8th, 2024

On April 8th, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross into North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada (including Southern Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritime provinces). This will be the first time in 50 years that we will witness a total solar eclipse here in Southwestern Ontario, and there will not be another one in over 80 years.

Leading up to the Eclipse 🌔
Learn about the upcoming solar eclipse by checking out our exhibit in the Library Learning Commons (F1066) from April 3rd – 7th.

April 8th, 2024 🌔
London will only experience a 99.6% partial solar eclipse, so if you cannot get away to watch this historic event safely, come to the Library Learning Commons where we will be hosting a watch party from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
