Join us for a special screening of the film The Woman King at the library! This award-winning film is a historical epic about the Agojie, an all-female group of warriors, that protected the West African kingdom of Dahomey in 1823.
The screening is free and open to students; light refreshments will be served.
The movie screening will take place on Friday, March 31st from 5 – 7:15 p.m. in the Kalihwíy̲o̲ Circle (F1066). We hope to see you there!

Join us for a special screening of the film Hidden Figures at the library! This inspiring movie tells the true story of a group of African American women who worked at NASA during the 1960s and played a vital role in the success of the Apollo missions.

For Black History Month, the Library Learning Commons has teamed up with Fanshawe Equity, Diversity and Inclusion to present current Fanshawe students and staff with a reading challenge. Read Téa Mutonji’s disarming debut story collection, Shut Up You’re Pretty, by February 24th and enter to win a prize.
