March Movie Night: The Woman King

Join us for a special screening of the film The Woman King at the library! This award-winning film is a historical epic about the Agojie, an all-female group of warriors, that protected the West African kingdom of Dahomey in 1823.

The screening is free and open to students; light refreshments will be served.

The movie screening will take place on Friday, March 31st from 5 – 7:15 p.m. in the Kalihwíy̲o̲ Circle (F1066). We hope to see you there!

Innovation Week 2023: Laser Cutter Demonstrations

Visit the Library Learning Commons in F1066 for a sneak preview of what’s to come in the Innovation Village Makerspace.

Technologists Eric Weeskes and Perry Hammoud from the Faculty of Science, Trades and Technology will be demonstrating the laser cutter by engraving your photos onto Plinko chips. Use your custom Plinko chip to win a prize!

Catch the Big Screen in the Library: Hidden Figures

Join us for a special screening of the film Hidden Figures at the library! This inspiring movie tells the true story of a group of African American women who worked at NASA during the 1960s and played a vital role in the success of the Apollo missions.

The screening is free and open to students, and light refreshments will be served.

The movie screening will take place on Thursday, February 23rd from 2 – 4 p.m. and again from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Kalihwíy̲o̲ Circle (F1066). We hope to see you there!
