Fanshawe OER Design Studio

Fanshawe Open logo

The Fanshawe OER Design Studio provides support to faculty in researching, adopting and creating open education resources (OER’s) to be used by students in Fanshawe courses and programs. Support provided by the studio includes: research, copyediting, copyright compliance, publishing, graphic design, instructional design, and multimedia creation.  All materials created by the studio are shared under an open license. The studio team includes students working in different capacities as part of their educational experience at Fanshawe.

We have developed a process to introduce you to OER, and the services and support offered by our studio. We refer to this process as the OER incubator. The process includes participation in the OER prep course, and completion of a course map that outlines the learning outcomes for your course. You will be assigned a library partner to support you through this process, and help research suitable resources.

Please check out our Open Education Grant Program as well for support in developing open materials.
